Am ajuns la EVarza la recomandarea unei prietene, dupa un Instameet la care m-am plimbat mult prin Bucuresti. Atat eu, cat si prietenele mele, eram lihnite de foame si abia asteptam sa testam coastele lor de care am auzit numai de bine.
Aflat in apropiere de Obor, intr-o casa interbelica superba si cu o gradina in care pe pereti sunt pictate chipurile legendelor rock, EVarza, nu este deloc “varza”.

Si spatiul de la interior este mare cu multe mese pe care sunt scrise versuri ale melodiior clasice rock, totul acompaniat de muzica buna.

Meniul, respectand motto-urile pubului – ‘Rock’n’roll, carnati & more’ si ‘Keep the spirit alive’, are multe preparate cu specific american burgeri, ribs, hot wings, dar si o sectiune intreaga de carnaciori de toate felurile, toate la niste preturi foarte bune. Noi am mers pe stilul american si am comandat nachos (19 lei) si castraveti murati pane (9 lei) ca antreu. Nachos au fost printre cei mai buni mancati ever si ii recomand cu incredere.

Ca fel principal am luat o portie de coaste de 750gr (36 lei), o portie de aripioare BBQ (13 lei) cu cartofi chipsuri si un burger Royale (28 lei), toate insotite de sosuri BBQ si ranch.
Coastele merg impartite la 2 persoane, sunt foarte fragede iar sosul in in abundenta este perfect.

Burgerul Royale ar putea parea incarcat la prima vedere dar oul prajit se imbina perfect cu ceapa rosie murata, legumele proaspete, castravetii murati si bineinteles carnea de vita. Am mentionat ca si chiflele sunt facute de ei? Per total- un burger pe gustul meu.
Aripioarele erau facute in acelasi sos BBQ din abundenta, iar bastonasele de telina ce veneau cu ele erau delicioase cu sosul ranch.

Le-am acompaniat pe toate cu un rose de Samburesti (49 lei) si o bere Grimbergen (13 lei) – un adevarat festin.

Ce mi-a placut foarte mult, pe langa mancarea delicioasa, a fost faptul ca toata lumea era foarte prietenoasa, iar la sfarsit, bucatarul, un om care a stat in America 16 ani si a adus de acolo retetele originale de burgeri, coaste, aripioare, dar si de sosuri (pentru ca da, sunt toate homemade), a venit la masa noastra, sa ne intrebe daca ne-a placut si daca am fi vrut ceva in plus. Una din prietenele mele, chiar i-a spus ca ar fi vrut langa coaste un piure de porumb, asa cum a mancat in Berlin si el a fost foarte receptiv. Pentru noi chiar a fost o placere sa stam de vorba cu el si sa-i auzim povestea si am observat ca face asta cu majoritatea clientilor, dar in special cu cei noi.
Vizita noastra la Evarza s-a terminat glorios, cu cate un shot de Tatratea aromat din partea casei, iar acum cred ca ne putem considera si noi de ale casei.

Drept urmare, daca vrei sa mananci ceva cu specific american, gatit ca la mama lui acasa, ascultand muzica buna, intr-un loc incarcat de istoria legendelor rock, fara sa sa-ti faci o gaura in buget, EVarza e locul pentru tine.

I been in several countries, seen a lot of “good” restaurants, tasted their food of course. But Never like this place. Very seldom so…
The food there is awesome ( 5 out of 5 ). One of the owners, Emil is, beside a fantastic chef( try it folks, you definitely won’t regret it) also, like many of the servants, a great guitar player( btw. Sit an jamming together is also a common thing there…- and the guests love it( makes them even more relaxed after a long day
Beside that, it’s a VERY cozy, relaxing well cleaned place( everywhere, from outside to the toilet. Always clean and tidy. Again 5 out of 5 stars
Apropos outside the pictures will show you the cozy part ( inside as well)
Btw.Many of the table’s are painted from an artist( it’s Not some plastic or like but really beautiful art. It’s musicians of course )
Actually the’ theme there is laid back music ( just enjoy it, relax and they will come and ask you if you want something. The food, drinks etc comes back very fast, of course depends of how many people there are…- and there are. But still they managed it very very good.-and when YOU are ready. Not like SO many other restaurants, stressful staff who only thinks about going home, only “polite” cause they have to be
Apropos music its for “old” to young people..- 50-60-70-80 and 90’s music. Wonderful
NB. ALL the waiter’s ( including the 2 owners.) Speak perfect English… Wonderful staff
I’ve personally come Everyday since I arrived and have Never experience violence or like there, not even shouting . It’s Cause it’s so cozy…And Should someone actually be to drunk ( still Never seen it though, but cause it’s happens sometimes are they very politely. But as I wrote… Never seen it
Summa summarum; E…Varza is the’ best, forget the rest folks( the “Old town etc”.
When people arrived there, they come back again, mainly because what I’ve have written here above
Btw. It’s Very near shops if you should need something. The main Street is 50 meters away, taxi too. But you can Always order from there
Apropos music( witch is My passion ( who don’t like music❤) there will soon be live music every Saturday….- Or you can sit, relax and hear other normally local people playing.
